Plan Review Process
The plan review process is specifically established to identify any non-compliance with the codes and address problems before construction begins.
Plans are checked for code/life safety and regulation compliance only.
Plans are approved based on plan review comments.
Sometimes revised plans are required to be submitted depending on plan review comments. Two sets of plans are required to be submitted. The Building Department retains one set of the plans for department use. The second approved set shall be on the job site at the time of inspections.
Plans are approved, fees are paid and a permit is issued. In some instances the plan review fee may be required to be remitted when the plans are submitted for review.
